I have a procrastination pile. I used to have a sewing table, but now there’s just a pile where it used to be. It started in the back corner, a small little stack of things I was going to get to one day. Then it started growing. And creeping and spreading and taking over! Until I had to sew on the dining table because I couldn’t sew on the sewing table.
My pile and I existed quite peaceably together. Occasionally I would add something to the somewhat precarious tower and the pile let me put off doing the bits I don’t like. Until the other day when I had to explain one too many times that yes, I had more quilts to go up on the Etsy store, but I hadn’t quite finished them yet while sheepishly waving toward the sewing table/procrastination pile. Slightly embarrassing after a while. So I put on my big girl pants and got to it and finally finished one of my quilts!
It is done!
I have to admit, the colours made me wonder at first. I liked the jellyroll in the shop, brought it home and thought ‘What did I do?!’ But it didn’t take me long before I fell in love with reds and purples and the way they just seem to work together. Definitely in the running for Most Loved Quilt. And the Twisty Twirly Quilt is now available for someone who loves colour chaos 🙂
