I finished the 3D quilt!! Well, to be absolutely honest I finished sewing the top. It’s yet to be quilted and because my brain is having a complete melt down at the thought of quilting anything at all it shall go on the procrastination pile, bringing the number of quilts to be finished up to a grand total of nine.
Yes, you read that right. Nine.
But we’re not talking about that.
We’re talking about the 3D quilt.
Which I totally finished!
After I had done enough panels that you could really see the incredibly awesome 3D effect I laid it on my design wall, (which really is just the lounge room floor but it sounds so much more hoity toity to call it a design wall) then I got all the Munchkins to come in and have a look at it, and tell me what they could see…
They started with ‘I can see hexagons’ and gradually moved to ‘wait, wait! Look! I see it! It’s a box! And there’s a another box! There’s a little box inside a big box! LOOK!!’
I love this quilt. I get to mess with Munchkins minds with this quilt 🙂
